Postdoctoral Fellowship
We are currently seeking (2) Postdoctoral Psychologists for two distinct tracks:
Track 1: Mental Health and Wellness Program
- Provide therapy to individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of mental health diagnoses
including but not limited to, complex trauma, mood/anxiety disorders, personality disorders,
and severe and persistent mental illness. - Participate in the development and coordination of MCMH’s psych rehab services, the Wellness
Program, contributing to program design, implementation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Track 2: Mental Health and Recovery Center
- Provide therapy to individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of mental health diagnoses
including but not limited to, complex trauma, mood/anxiety disorders, personality disorders,
and severe and persistent mental illness. - Position with focus on serving individuals with co-occurring substance use diagnoses.
- Participate in development of support groups for individuals impacted by substance use.
For both tracks, the ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality psychological
services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, within a dynamic,
multidisciplinary team. The positions offer the opportunity to gain supervised, hands-on experience
while contributing to the mental health and well-being of individuals and families in the community.

Qualifications
- Completion of APA accredited internship and all required Ph.D. or Psy.D. coursework.
- Obtain NYS limited permit prior to start date.
- Experience working in community behavioral health settings.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use (Recovery Center Track, only).
- Ability to render services in-person and via telehealth.
- Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a full caseload.
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish).
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients of diverse backgrounds with a wide
range of behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma,
and personality disorders. - Participate in weekly group and individual supervision to further develop clinical skills and
expertise. - Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, intake assessments, and
treatment planning for new and ongoing patients. - Participate in psychology externship training program (i.e., conduct seminars, supervise
assessment cases). - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychiatrists, nurses, peers,
and other clinicians, to develop and implement treatment plans and provide coordinated care. - Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment plans,
and assessments in compliance with agency policies and regulations. - Participate in clinical training, seminars, and workshops to support continued professional
development. - Ensure ethical and culturally competent practice, maintaining sensitivity to the diverse needs of
the community we serve.
