Child & Adolescent

Comprehensive mental health services for children and adolescents.

About the Program

In today's world, children and adolescents are increasingly facing challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma. The COVID-19 pandemic, the rise in social media usage, and stressors like housing and food instability in New York City have significantly impacted the mental health of our youth.

At Metropolitan Center for Mental Health, we are committed to supporting children and adolescents who struggle with challenging emotions, negative behaviors, and difficult relationships. Our goal is to help them achieve a happier and healthier future. We recognize the growing need for specialized mental health services for young people. Our program provides a safe and supportive environment for families to seek help. We focus on the whole child or adolescent, considering various aspects of their lives, including their environments and internal strengths and weaknesses.

Our intake process is thorough and personalized, aiming to understand each child's unique needs. We involve families in the process and assess developmental history, environmental influences, and academic progress. Coordination with schools or medical professionals is also available when necessary.

Our dedicated team of child and adolescent therapists is warm, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They strive to provide the best treatment tailored to each child's specific needs.

Join us in prioritizing mental health for children and adolescents. If you have any questions or wish to schedule an initial intake appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for considering the Metropolitan Center for Mental Health.
