Embedded in the community for over 60 years, MCMH fosters well-established and robust partnerships across a broad range of institutions and organizations that address important health and social needs for people of all ages. These partnerships reflect our commitment to whole-person care — supporting our clients across every area of their lives.

Medical Care

Referral and transitions-of-care partnerships that keep clients connected as they move between hospital, primary care, and community settings.

NewYork-Presbyterian

NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the nation's most comprehensive, integrated academic health care delivery systems. MCMH has a long-standing Transitions of Care partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian that covers Inpatient programs at their New York City and Westchester campuses, Emergency Departments, Ambulatory Care Network, Specialty Care departments, and the Integrated Mental Health Program within the Columbia University Medical Center. This partnership holds a mutual commitment to facilitate warm hand-offs and maintain continuous coordination of care around shared patients.

Mount Sinai

MCMH maintains a strong referral partnership with Mount Sinai to expand timely and secure access to behavioral health services for community patients who are referred from Mount Sinai's primary care practices. MCMH and Mount Sinai have regular leadership meetings to ensure that the partnership is working smoothly and effectively for community patients.

Ryan Health

MCMH shares a vibrant referral partnership with Ryan Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Through this partnership, MCMH ensures that individuals have seamless access to integrated primary healthcare at one of Ryan Health's various locations in NYC. At the same time, Ryan Health identifies patients in need of behavioral health services and makes warm hand-off referrals to MCMH.

Partnerships addressing housing, employment, and the wider social determinants of health that shape recovery and long-term stability.

NADAP

The Recovery Center of MCMH's CCBHC shares a long-standing collaborative partnership with NADAP to support patients with employment readiness and workforce development services. Through this partnership, eligible patients are connected to vocational training, job readiness programs, and employment opportunities to promote long-term recovery and community integration.

ACMH

The Care Management Program of MCMH's CCBHC collaborates closely with ACMH (a New York City Health Home) to connect eligible Medicaid recipients, including HARP members, to comprehensive and long-term care management services. ACMH provides access to programs such as Health Home care management, Health Home Plus (HH+) for individuals with high-acuity needs, transitional housing, and other supportive services.

BronxWorks

The Care Management Program of MCMH's CCBHC collaborates with BronxWorks to support various social determinants of health like housing and employment-related resources. Common supports from BronxWorks include assistance with rent arrears, applications for CityFHEPS rental vouchers, housing search support for apartments that accept CityFHEPS, in addition to vocational training, job readiness, and employment services.

P.S. 163 Alfred E. Smith School

MCMH has maintained a longstanding partnership with P.S. 163, The Alfred E. Smith School, a PK-5 elementary school on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Through an on-site satellite clinic, MCMH clinicians collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to deliver integrated, student-centered mental health services. This partnership enhances early identification and intervention, strengthens coordination between educational and mental health supports, and reduces barriers to accessing care.

Columbia University School of Nursing

MCMH shares a long-standing training agreement with Columbia University's School of Nursing wherein MCMH provides annual clinical placements for Doctoral Nurse Practitioner students within the walls of its CCBHC program. Columbia's Doctoral Nurse Practitioner students hone their skills through supervised practice in the areas of mental health and substance use while contributing to MCMH's mission for timely access to high quality behavioral health care for members of our community.

Metropolitan Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (MITPP)

For over four decades, MCMH has shared a clinical training partnership with MITPP, an advanced training program for clinicians with diverse backgrounds seeking contemporary certification in Adult or Child psychoanalytic psychotherapy. MCMH provides clinical training opportunities for MITPP students, who sharpen clinical skills through supervised practice while supporting MCMH's mission to deliver accessible, high-quality behavioral health services to its community.

Networks and associations through which MCMH helps shape behavioral health policy and regulation across New York.

Behavioral Health New York City IPA, LLC (BHNYC)

MCMH is a founding member of Behavioral Health New York City IPA, LLC (BHNYC), a community-focused behavioral health network of agencies offering rapid access to behavioral health services. BHNYC supports its members in developing strategic alliances with social service agencies, hospital systems, primary care physician groups, and managed care organizations to fill gaps in care and improve health outcomes. Our CEO currently serves as the co-Chair of the Board of Managers.

Federation of Behavioral Health Services

MCMH is a long-standing, active member of the Federation of Behavioral Health Services (the "Federation"), an advocacy and trade association comprised of community-based outpatient and residential behavioral health services in New York City. Through the Federation, MCMH shares strong relationships with other NYC behavioral health organizations and advocates for programmatic, regulatory and policy needs at a local and State governmental level. Our CEO currently serves as the Board President.

NYS Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare

MCMH is a long-standing, active member of the NYS Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, the largest advocacy organization for community-based behavioral health providers in New York State. The NYS Council tirelessly advocates at a State and Federal level for non-profit behavioral health organizations in areas of regulatory reform, workforce needs, mental health parity, and CCBHC programming, among other areas.
