Post-Doc Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Postdoctoral Psychologist to join our team in a vibrant community behavioral health setting. Qualifications

  • Completion of APA accredited internship and all required Ph.D. or Psy.D. coursework.
  • Obtain NYS limited permit prior to start date.
  • Experience working in community behavioral health settings.
  • Ability to render services in-person and via telehealth.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a full caseload.
  • Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients of diverse backgrounds with a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders.
  • Participate in weekly group and individual supervision to further develop clinical skills and expertise.
  • Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, intake assessments, and treatment planning for new and ongoing patients.
  • Participate in psychology externship training program (i.e., conduct seminars, supervise assessment cases).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other clinicians, to develop and implement treatment plans and provide coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Participate in clinical training, seminars, and workshops to support continued professional development.
  • Ensure ethical and culturally competent practice, maintaining sensitivity to the diverse needs of the community we serve.
